This womens month we admire and honor the women that are representing us in the business field. The emergence of successful women is a symbol of the change in times and a demonstration of the strength women have. Let us have a look at successful business women who have also become luminary figures in their industry.    

 

Khanyi Dhlomo

Khanyi Dhlomo is one of Africas most successful business woman that has made a significant impact in the media industry. She inspires a lot of young South Africans who desire to make an impact in the media field. South Africans have had the pleasure to watch the media mogul transition from an editor to creating her own magazine.

Khanyi was born in the humble township of Umlazi. She attended The Girls' Collegiate School in Pietermaritzburg where she was the first black student. At age 16 she won the Thandi Face cover Girl competition, which prompted her love for magazines. By the age of 22, she became the Editor of True Love Magazine.

At present Khanyi Dhlomo is the Founder and CEO of Ndalo Media as well as Ndalo Luxury Ventures. Khanyis influence in the media space has grown as she is the founding editor of Destiny Magazine and most recently she has taken over Elle Magazine South Africa. 


Sashi Naidoo

Sashi Naidoo is a humble and loveable character and the star has opened up on some difficult times in her life. She has motivated people to think positively about themselves by sharing some of her personal experiences. The star shared information about a time in her life where she had monobrow, braces and felt overlooked in her school days.

Sashi was born in Port Elizabeth, she moved to Joburg to study chiropractic medicine. After completing the course she then began her acting career and instantly became a favorite on our screens in the soapie Backstage.

Sashi has become an entrepreneur and has pioneered a modeling agency called Alushi models. The modeling agency brings a unique element to the modeling world. It is encouraging to see that although she has gone through hardships, she has overcome them.

Bonang Mathebas resilience and ambitious nature in the industry inspires many. The star keeps on growing her brand and is evolving into a successful business woman. Bonangs confidence and self-belief has encouraged young South Africans to pursue their dreams. Through her charisma and charm, she has worked successfully with various brands and organisations.

Bonangs rise to fame was not a smooth transition. The young media mogul was still pursuing her studies when she had to make a tough decision to cut her studies to follow her dream to be a presenter. Bonang got her first break when she won a TV presenting show called LIVE where she spent 5 years. With her success as a presenter, she quickly became one of the entertainment industrys most sought after artist. She has hosted South African Music Awards, Channel O music awards, SAFTAs and many more award shows.

Today Bonang Matheba is growing her brand as a powerful business woman who has launched various business projects. Through her success, Bonang has created the Bonang Matheba Fund and recently awarded bursaries to 10 young people to study at any Boston College.

Bonangs brand has introduced hosting TV presenting classes, she has a new book called Bonang from A-B which is now a bestseller in the country. Bonang also surprised the country when she launched BMoji app which is emojis of the star, available on Google Play and Apple Store.

Bonang excited her fans this year when she announced her own reality show called Being Bonang which she co-produces. Brand Bonang is an empire that is going to take the business world by storm.

Cindy Nell is a powerhouse of a businesswoman in South Africa. Her enthusiasm for the TV and beauty industry is breath-taking and something that has made the nation sit up and take notice.

We love how the pageant star has transitioned into a business woman in the beauty industry. Cindys passion for business and beauty products has inspired many. Cindy is the Former Miss South Africa 2002 and runner-up of Miss World 2003.

She is the owner of a thriving cosmetics business in the beauty industry. Shes been a TV personality on lifestyle show Pasella and has been featured on multiple magazine covers. Cindy Nell has branded herself as a style icon that many women look up to.

Cindys love for makeup and skincare products inspired a company she co-owns called Cosmetix. The company manufactures quality cosmetics like the favorite self-tanning product called the Caribbean Tan.

  

Siba Mntongana

Siba Mntongana is one of the countrys most loved celebrity chefs who critics say is giving Nigella Lawson a run for her money. Siba was born in East London and as a child, she enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She then studied Food and Consumer Science in Cape Town and her began her food career.

South Africans enjoy watching Siba prepare sensational meals on her TLC show that plays on Food Network. Siba is the recipient of many international awards and is the author of a cookbook titled My Table. The book instantly became one of the best-selling books in the country.

Siba founded her company called The Siba co. which is a business that focuses on all things food related. The star says she plans to grow her business through food, homeware, restaurants and much more. Siba is one of the chefs that have notable recognition in the culinary industry.

 

Azania Mosaka

Azania Mosaka is an influential figure in the radio and beauty business industry. Azania hosts a show on 702 FM called The Azania Mosaka Show.

Azania is a woman who has used her voice to speak about various contemporary challenges affecting society. Through her radio hosting show, she has enlightened listeners on a diverse range informative topics. Azania has had ongoing discussions on higher education transformation. Her show engages listeners on many interesting topics and she is a voice that is able to bring attention to many issues.
