Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB)

The ACP takes you through 12 learning areas (subjects) and successive levels of bookkeeping and accounting. You can progress from a Certified Junior Bookkeeper up to a Certified Financial Accountant.

Advanced Level: National Diploma Financial Accounting

The National Qualification will prepare you to compile annual financial statements, registering with SAIBA as an Accounting Officer (once you meet their requirements), work with Chartered Accountants and Auditors, have a thorough knowledge of accounting theory and practice, corporate strategy and regulatory frameworks.

Every senior accountant needs the support of skilled, competent accounting technicians to undertake the more routine and operational work. Those holding the qualification can work in all sectors of the economy in a number of positions, including accounts clerk, wages clerk, accounts assistant, sales ledger clerk, tax assistant and bookkeeper. Many progress to become more senior in the accounts field and move on to hold positions such as financial controller and accounts manager.

Foundation Level National Certificate Bookkeeping

This National qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required in the field of bookkeeping to trial balance, reconcile suppliers, inventory and bank statements, calculate PAYE / UIF / SDL, payroll tax and other deductions, EMP501, IRP5, IRP6 and IT3a documents and VAT returns.

Further Education and Training Certificate Bookkeeping

This course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required in the fields of bookkeeping, asset disposal, year-end adjustments, analysis of financial statements, understand cash flow, basic cost and management accounts.

Intermediate Level: National Diploma Technical Financial Accounting

This National Qualification will prepare you to work in the financial accounting field and support management in finance and accounting, become a SAIT tax practitioner (one you meet their requirements), know the ins and outs of accounting, taxation (individuals and companies), auditing and business law.

National Diploma in Financial Accounting

The National Qualification will prepare you to compile annual financial statements, registering with SAIBA as an Accounting Officer (once you meet their requirements), work with Chartered Accountants and Auditors, have a thorough knowledge of accounting theory and practice, corporate strategy and regulatory frameworks.
