Entrance Requirement Grade 10 (Std. 8) or an equivalent or 3 years relevant work experience is required. Accounting knowledge up to the level of Trial Balance is essential.
Course Outcomes The skills and knowledge that you will gain through this course will familiarise you with the following: - The petty cash book
- Bills of exchange
- Control accounts
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Creditors
- Annual financial statements
- Year-end adjustments: prepayments and accruals, bad debts and provision for bad debts, debtors’ and creditors’ control accounts, value-added tax and wages, and financial statements of clubs.
Course Duration you should be able to complete this course within 12 months.
Course Content - Bookkeeping and Accounting I*
Assessment * It is not compulsory to submit written assignments but you are required to write 1 formal exam per subject.
Please note that exams are written in June and October of each year. You should complete an examination entry form and submit it to the College, together with the prescribed examination fee before the closing date for the next examination. Please refer to your exam guide for more details.
Award After successfully completing all your assessments, you will be awarded an INTEC Short Course Certificate in Bookkeeping I.
