ICB: Certified Junior Bookkeeper CJBIcb (SA) - Agent Programme
The skills of the Junior Bookkeeper will encompass bookkeeping to trial balance on the hand system as well as a functioning knowledge of a computerised bookkeeping / accounting system.
He / she will master source documents (tax invoices), the rules of double entry, subsidiary journals, the General Ledger, bookkeeping for the different inventory systems and bank and supplier statement reconciliation.

Entrance Requirement
Students must be at least 16 years of age.
Course Duration
You should be able to complete this course within 18 months.

- Payroll and Monthly SARS Returns
- Computerised Bookkeeping
Assessment
You are required to submit written assignments and write 1 formal exam per subject.
To qualify to write these exams you must be registered with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). PLEASE NOTE: Your enrolment with INTEC does not include the registration with ICB. Please contact the Institute for details on exam registration, dates and registration fees.
Award
Once you have completed the Certified Junior Bookkeeper Course which entitles you to be awarded the designation, you are required to register with the ICB and pay all the necessary fees. Once this has happened, the ICB will issue Membership Certificates indicating the level of membership and designation. These will be valid until the 31 January of each year and renewable upon payment of annual subscriptions.
Accreditation
The Certified Junior Bookkeeper is accredited by the ICB.
