Career Opportunities This course will help you to develop good working relationships with other key people involved in a production. You will learn how to develop and arrange songs effectively - and how to develop approaches to music production.
Entrance Requirement Grade 10 / Std. 8 and must be PC literate or have a basic understanding of digital audio software.
Course Outcomes
- Produce for independent artists and record labels.
- Produce within an established recording studio.
- Production for a radio station.
- Production for a television and / or media production house.
- Independent music production of projects.
Course Duration You should be able to complete this course within 12 months.
Course Content The course includes the following topics: - Identifying the roles of a modern music producer.
- How to focus on and develop key production principles.
- Creative production techniques.
- Producing music with midi programming.
- Applying a professional approach to music production.
Assessment You are required to complete 3 practical assignments and save them to CD for submission to INTEC.
Award After you successfully complete the course, you will receive your INTEC Short Course: Introduction to Digital Music Production Certificate.
