Paralegal Studies

Become a paralegal the INTEC way. Are you interested in a career in the legal world but unable to spend years studying at university? The answer is to become a paralegal by studying at home in your own time, at your own pace.

What is a paralegal?
Paralegals or legal assistants have a sound basic knowledge of the legal principles relevant to the field in which they work. This means that they can work independently to perform legal tasks. Although they aren't qualified to represent clients, paralegals perform various important legal tasks and administrative duties in the legal office. For example, in an attorney's practice, the paralegal lightens the attorney's workload by performing routine legal work and research.

A glance at the job section of your local newspaper will reveal numerous employment opportunities for paralegals.Organisations in both the public and private sectors: provincial administration, banks, insurance companies, magistrates, estate agents and civil service departments require the assistance of paralegals.
